To be honest I had no idea what avant garde meant up until today when I watched project runway.. there are so many different avant garde wedding dresses. These are just a few I picked out.

In all honesty I haven't actually attended that many weddings before, but that doesn't matter. I can still appreciate a good wedding idea, I was out shopping today and saw a lovely polka dot dress and then it got me thinking could that be used for a wedding so I started exploring it. Here is the outcome.

MMM I love the feel of velvet

Currently I have 2 velvet dresses one wine pink dress and one dark turquoise blue. I used to wear velvet a lot as a kid so its kind of nice to wear it again. I like the way it shines in certain light. So I became curious about velvet themed weddings today

To be honest Velvet wedding dresses don't seem to be very common. Therefore I think if you wanted a rather unusual wedding this would be the way to go. However it may be difficult to find accessories to go with it.

Sunflower themed wedding

It may sound crazy and wacky but me and my boyfriend actually love sunflowers and yellow flowers in general, actually my boyfriend calls all yellow flowers sunflowers lol. So I think this theme could be interesting

However in all honesty I don't think I could ever go ahead with this sort of a wedding, frankly my Grandma would have a heart attack or maybe die from embarassment lol. She wouldn't see it as a sunflower theme she would see it as a yellow canary theme
